We the Italians is a company that in 10 years has become a key relational hub between Italy and the community of the more than 20 million Italian Americans in the United States.
We have built and manage a set of information channels that reaches over 8 million Italian Americans in the United States between our website and our accounts and channels on 9 different social media. We are recognized by the main Italian American associations in the United States - both national and local - as the main operational backbone in Italy.
We carry out this valuable linking work in several ways: through a multichannel and continuous editorial activity, with the conveyance on social media of our content that is the way tens of thousands of people remain connected to Italy, and through the organization and participation in physical events on both sides of the Atlantic.
We have also consolidated an unparalleled geographical presence, structuring a network of Ambassadors In all 20 Italian regions, across all 50 U.S. states, and with a focus on specific themes such as Education, Science, Art, Sports, Tourism, Emigration, Audiovisual Media, Design, and Luxury.
In September 2025 we will hold the first reunion of our American Ambassadors in Chicago.
During the 2020 lockdown we activated a fundraiser among our contacts in the Italian American community to help our country, choosing as the recipient of the funds the Italian excellence in research and treatment of contagious diseases, the Spallanzani Hospital in Rome. In an exceptional situation, because even in America covid-19 was killing and creating great damage to the economy, we obtained an extraordinary result, thanks to the generosity of Italian Americans and their love for Italy: € 53,000 were donated, in a moving race for solidarity.
Also in 2020, we organized the first online Columbus Day in history, uniting Italy and the United States in celebration of Christopher Columbus. In covid times, it was not possible to organize events in physical presence, but during our initiative, we virtually paraded more than 50 leaders of Italian American communities from many American places, representing thousands of Italian Americans through the organizations they led.
Since 2022, we have been organizing a Gala in Rome. The first three editions of the Gala have been attended by a total of more than 1,000 participants. The event is a very powerful moment to forge relationships and to present ideas, products and services to a very select and multinational audience. The three editions of the Gala have been attended by Italian American friends from 30 of the 50 American states.
It is the institutional moment in which to celebrate the exceptional contribution of Italian DNA that Italian Americans have made and continue to make to the economy, culture and every sector of American society. We aggregate institutional personalities, entrepreneurs, professionals and academics who share our goal of building and consolidating bridges between the two sides of the ocean.
The We the Italians network consists of six communication tools.
Our website contains 90,000 contents regarding everything that unites Italy and the US, on both sides of the ocean, with one million unique users each year. We promote 15 news every day, divided by geographic area, with thematic subcategories and a tagging system that allows anyone to easily find any useful keyword thanks to the internal search engine. The site also hosts a section dedicated to the defense of Christopher Columbus, with a Manifesto in his favor already signed by thousands of Italians and Italian Americans.
There are more than 300 Umberto Mucci's interviews, with the top 100 collected in a book released in the U.S. and Italy - which every month give voice to a personality who has a role and/or experience in some aspect of relations between the two countries. There is also an Italian version of 50 interviews, and nine annual yearbooks that share the Italian and English versions of interviews conducted from 2016 to 2024. Since 2024, we also have a podcast with an artificial intelligence-generated conversation summarizing published interviews.
There is a prestigious monthly online magazine, in English, about Italy, in which we showcase Italian excellence through more than 20 different themed sections.
The magazine is also sent inside the monthly newsletter to more than 100,000 Italian and Italian American recipients in the USA.
Since the beginning of the lockdown in 2020, We theItaliaNews also started, a video and audio podcast in which in English we update users on the news concerning Italy day by day. We produced and broadcast more than 350 episodes, until the end of the covid emergency. In 2025, we transformed We the ItaliaNews into two new weekly audio podcasts: “Italy in English” is dedicated to what is happening in Italy and is in English; “L'Italia in America” is the first and only Italian-language podcast on what is happening in Italian and Italian Americans communities in the US.
Finally, we have a lively social media community: Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Tik Tok, Telegram, Spotify and Threads.
In October 2022 we founded the Italia America Reputation Lab, the first observatory dedicated to the reputation of Italian Americans and of Italy in the US. This provides valuable data to institutions and companies, identifying potential areas of improvement in the U.S. market and monitoring the relation between our two countries. In 2024 the IARL became a nonprofit registered in the State of New York. In 2025 we started surveying the Italian American community about topics related to its sentiment and interests to Italy.
We are the Italian exclusive partners of the Italian American Future Leaders conference, dedicated to 21-35 Italian Americans. In 2026 we will bring the Conference in Rome, connecting them with same age Italians who live in Italy.
In November 2022, we signed an agreement with the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation, of which we became a media partner.
In December 2022 We the Italians received the prestigious "Amerigo" Journalism Award for online information between Italy and the US.
Since January 2023 we have been part of the Advisory Board of the Italian American Future Leaders, where we act as mentors - the only ones resident in Italy - towards the participants, future Italian American leaders aged 21 to 35.
In October 2023, we had the honor of being part of the exclusive reception hosted at the White House by First Lady Jill Biden to celebrate Italian Heritage Month.
Since 2025, we have been members of the Honor Committee of PAIR (Prize for American-Italian Relations) Award of the Centro Studi Americani in Rome.
