One of the things that was so important for me to share was the logistics: the reasons we made the risky choice, the fact that it was risky (and we knew it), and how we understood and spent a lot of time figuring out what it would mean to move full-time. A lot of people think moving to small-town Italy is just romantic and whimsical -- but making it work for us, especially with my health conditions, meant being practical with lots of realistic expectation-setting. It's partly why I chose to write an article, rather than documenting things on Instagram. I think the reality is far more fascinating than the glossy slideshow.
